Selena Gomez Shows Love to Bella Hadid After Instagram Post Drama: ‘She Is a Wonderful Person’

Extending an olive branch. Selena Gomez is showing love to Bella Hadid after the model deleted an Instagram post the “Kill ‘Em With Kindness” singer commented on. Selena had nothing but nice things to say about Bella in her latest response, where she expressed how she shouldn’t have spoken out in the first place without knowing the entire story.

In case you missed it, the drama started when the 23-year-old catwalker shared a glamorous new photo on her IG page. “A Dior thing,” Bella captioned the snap. Selena hit the like button and commented “stunning” with a heart-eye emoji.

When eagle-eyed followers noticed that Bella later deleted the post altogether, one fan account wrote, “She’s all about supporting women. You all just can’t take it nicely. Btw Ms. Hadid deleted the post,” leading to a response from Selena.

“That sucks,” the songstress wrote with a crying emoji.

Now that some more time has passed, the Spring Breakers actress, 27, seems to be having some regrets about sharing her thoughts. “NO. I shouldn’t of spoken without knowing the truth. I’m sorry. Please don’t be hurtful,” Selena wrote in another Instagram comment. “She is a wonderful person and it was all a misunderstanding.”

Many people have been speculating there’s tension between the two stars because they were both romantically involved with The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye). Bella dated the “Wicked Games” crooner, 29, for two years before they called it quits for the first time in November 2016. In 2017, photos surfaced showing Selena and Abel locking lips and Bella seemingly decided to unfollow the former Disney star as a result.

Selena and Abel broke up at the end of the year, and he later rekindled his relationship with the model in April 2018 before they parted ways again in August 2019.

It still remains a mystery why Bella decided to get rid of ~that~ photo on her Instagram page, but it looks like Selena is ready to move on.

“While Bella’s no longer dating The Weeknd, they’ve remained friends and her feelings for him aren’t going to disappear overnight — they have a long history together,” an insider tells In Touch exclusively about how the model feels. “She worries that Selena wants to rekindle the romance, especially as she’s been single for a while, but it’s not the case.”
