Once you break girl code, there’s no going back. Selena Gomez is still hurt over her tense relationship with Bella Hadid. The two have some unsolved beef because they both previously dated The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) and it seems like Bella, 23, is still salty. Meanwhile, Selena, 27, is totally over their feud. “Selena thinks Bella should get over it and move on,” an insider exclusively told In Touch.

“Selena’s upset that Bella still holds a grudge against her. Yes, she hooked up with The Weeknd while the model was still with him, but that was years ago,” the source explained. “Bella sees things differently though — Selena broke girl code, which is not cool.”

Bella and Selena’s feud first started after Bella and Abel, 29, split in November 2016 after two years of dating. He started seeing Selena in January 2017 and the two were together for 10 months. At the time, Selena and Bella both unfollowed each other on Instagram. Although Abel and Bella rekindled in April 2018, he and Selena remained good pals. “Selena’s speaks to The Weeknd from time to time, which infuriates Bella,” the insider added.

The model and the “Can’t Feel My Face” crooner called it quits again in August 2019, although it seems like Bella isn’t quite ready to let go. “While Bella’s no longer dating The Weeknd, they’ve remained friends and her feelings for him aren’t going to disappear overnight — they have a long history together,” the insider said. “She worries that Selena wants to rekindle the romance, especially as she’s been single for a while, but it’s not the case.”

More recently, Bella threw some shade at the actress after she attempted to extend an olive branch and post a nice comment on Bella’s Instagram photo on Sunday, November 17. “Stunning,” Selena wrote with a heart emoji on a mirror selfie of the model. Instead of acknowledging the sweet sentiment, Bella deleted the post altogether. Selena previously made another attempt to right her wrongs and refollowed Bella on the ‘gram, although Bella did not reciprocate. We hope these ladies can put their differences aside and move on from their boy drama.
