Meghan King Edmonds Breaks Silence Amid Split From Jim Edmonds: ‘I Am Broken for My Family’

She’s speaking out. Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King Edmonds is finally breaking her silence on her split from estranged husband Jim Edmonds just four days after he filed for divorce. She shared her side of the story in a post titled “Broken” on her lifestyle blog.

“I am broken for my family. I am buried in despair. I cry at the drop of a hat. But I am enduring,” she wrote in her lengthy post. “I will set an example for my children and I will teach them to love and respect people while also knowing how to condone unethical or wrong behavior. I will facilitate healthy, consistent, and ongoing relationships with their father and with his family despite the hurt I feel from them because my children should not reap the karma of my personal situations.”

This is the first time Meghan, 35, has addressed her split from Jim, 49. Just hours after In Touch confirmed Jim filed for divorce on October 25 — just one day after their fifth wedding anniversary — Meghan took to Instagram to seemingly reveal how she’s feeling. “So raw 👆🏼,” she wrote in the caption of a makeup-free selfie on Instagram.

In the days leading up to the divorce filing, the couple had not been getting along. “Meghan and Jim have been fighting,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly. “The latest fight began when he went to a recent hockey game and she began interrogating him about who he went with.”

Hours before Jim filed for divorce, a fight broke out between him and Meghan after she accused her husband of “having an affair” with their nanny, the insider told Us Weekly. Both Jim and the nanny denied the allegations both at the time and on social media in the days following.

“The nanny is someone who has worked for them for years and is like family,” one source explained, and added that the family employs four nannies and a live-in au pair. “During the argument, Meghan called the cops, but nothing came of it. Jim didn’t put his hands on her. The police chalked it up to a verbal dispute. No arrests were made.”

This isn’t the first time Jim and Meghan faced issues of trust in their relationship. Back in June, Jim was accused of a text message cheating scandal and he clarified that while he did not physically cheat, he did have some involvement in a transgression. “I engaged in an inappropriate conversation with this person. At no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact,” Jim confessed on June 13 in a statement to Us Weekly. “Absolutely none.”
