She is a 22-year-old nanny who also ran a lifestyle blog about her life as a nanny. She was one of four nannies the Edmonds family employed, and they also have a live-in au pair, Us Weekly reported.
Why did Meghan Confront Carly?
According to an insider, Meghan, 35, and Jim, 49, had not been getting along the week leading up to their split. “Meghan and Jim have been fighting. The latest fight began when he went to a recent hockey game and she began interrogating him about who he went with,” an insider told Us Weekly.
But on the morning of Friday, October 25 — just one day after the couple’s five-year wedding anniversary — Meghan confronted both Jim and Carly and accused them of “having an affair,” the insider added. Both Jim and Carly denied the accusations at the time.
“The nanny is someone who has worked for them for years and is like family,” the source explained. “During the argument, Meghan called the cops, but nothing came of it. Jim didn’t put his hands on her. The police chalked it up to a verbal dispute. No arrests were made.” Jim filed for divorce later that day.
Meghan Seems to Believe Carly Had an Affair
Hours after news broke about their split, Meghan took to Instagram to share a ‘raw’ makeup-free selfie. In the comments, a follower wrote: “Judging by Jim’s Instagram, I’m guessing it’s [the] nanny whom he posted NINE photos of 11 months ago. And she has deleted her IG. 🤔.” Meghan commented on the fan’s theory with a thumbs-up emoji.
Carly Denied the Allegations on Social Media
On Saturday, October 26, she took to Instagram to set the record straight. “Are the rumors true?” one commented asked Carly, and she replied, “The allegations are completely false.”
