Meghan Markle Sends $300 As Ever Care Package to Fan Who Has Slammed Princess Kate and Prince William
Meghan Markle is raising eyebrows after seemingly gifting a luxe care package from her lifestyle brand As Ever to a vocal supporter who has publicly criticized her royal in-laws, Prince William and Princess Kate.
The fan, who goes by the handle The Notorious JTB on X, announced the delivery in a video on Monday, June 1, saying he was “completely stunned” to receive it.
The package arrived with a handwritten note sealed with the 44-year-old’s royal cypher — the letter M topped with the House of Windsor coronet. “Dear JT, Thank you for the anniversary wishes! A few treats for you to enjoy. As ever, Meg,” the note read.
The gift included the newly launched limited-edition matchbox, flower sprinkles, honey with honeycomb, the complete As Ever candle range and Meghan’s leather bookmark.
JTB shared the unboxing video with the caption, “The Duchess sent me a gift. I am not exaggerating when I say this was nowhere on my 2026 bingo card. Completely stunned. Completely grateful. Thank you, Meghan.”
According to a Tuesday, June 2 report from the Daily Mail, the $300 care package has prompted scrutiny because of JTB’s history of targeting the royal family.
JTB has reposted commentary criticizing Kate, 44, calling her advocacy efforts mediocre in comparison to Meghan’s speech at the World Health Organization in Geneva. He also posted a meme to X mocking Kate’s husband, William, using an image of the late Princess Diana.
Despite the criticism JTB has lobbed at the royals, he has been a prolific spender on Meghan’s brand, according to the report, dropping over $200 on wine and most recently purchasing As Ever’s $256 Signature Scent Collection — a set of candles inspired by Meghan and Prince Harry, 41, and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
