Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck reunited and spent some time coparenting on Easter Sunday.

The 13 Going on 30 actress, 53, was spotted driving away from her ex-husband’s $20 million home in Brentwood, California, with their youngest child, Samuel, 13, in the passenger’s seat on Sunday, April 20, as seen in photos published by Page Six on Monday, April 21.

Hours earlier, Ben, 52, and Samuel were seen walking out of World Market with stuffed shopping bags. The Argo star was dressed casually in tan pants, a blue button-down and green sneakers with a gray coat, while his son sported a blue sweatshirt with white star embroidery, matching white sweatpants and sneakers. The father-son duo appeared to be in great spirits as they headed to Ben’s home, where Jennifer reportedly met up with them.

In addition to Samuel, Ben and Jennifer share kids Violet, 19, and Fin, 16. However, it’s unclear if they joined the family gathering for the holiday.

While Ben and Jennifer, who were married from 2005 to 2018, have had a close friendship and coparenting relationship for years, their dynamic has made headlines in recent months after Ben’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 55, filed for divorce from the Good Will Hunting star on August 20, 2024, listing their date of separation as April 26, 2024. The split was finalized in January.

In Touch had previously reported in May 2024 that the pair were “headed for a divorce” and that Ben had already moved out of their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion, which remains on the market as of publication.

Jen was often spotted with Ben throughout his divorce, seemingly lending him support. And now that he’s single, fans have wondered if there’s a chance for the exes to rekindle their romance, especially after the pair appeared to get cozy at Samuel’s 13th birthday party at a paintball range. Footage shared by the Daily Mail U.K. showed Ben holding Jen close to his chest and resting his hands on her hips in March.

However, Jen has been happily dating businessman John Miller off and on since October 2018, and a source exclusively told In Touch after the footage went viral that Ben knows the “ship has sailed” on his romance with the actress.

“Does Ben want another chance to make a romantic relationship work with Jen? Not really,” the insider said. “He credits her for never giving up on him and he’s grateful for what he and Jen have today.”

The source continued, “Speculation about Ben and Jen’s friendly relationship hasn’t gone unnoticed by them. They find it amusing, but it isn’t just the talk of Hollywood. Even their kids and closest friends have wondered what the heck was going on. They do have to remind them they’re just friendly exes.”

“Ben has joked with Jen that if he had a time machine and could bring the guy he is today to his marriage to Jen back then, they’d probably still be together,” the insider added. “But there’s no use in speculating what could have been. They really get along now.”

As for Jen, she “isn’t interested in getting back with Ben” and would rather have a “healthy, coparenting relationship,” according to the source.
