Josh Duggar has been transferred to a new prison – and this time, it’s one that’s closer to his wife, Anna Duggar.
According to a report from The U.S. Sun published on Monday, June 29, Josh, 38, was abruptly transferred to the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City, which is less than 220 miles from where Anna, also 38, and his children live. (Anna and Josh share seven children – Mackynzie, 17, Michael, 15, Marcus, 13, Meredith, 11, Mason, 9, Maryella, 7, and Madyson, 5.)
The Federal Transfer Center where the former 19 Kids and Counting star is currently being housed is just a temporary facility for inmates while they’re being processed, which means he can be transferred again before serving out the remainder of his sentence.
As In Touch previously reported, Josh had previously been held at the minimum-security prison FCI Seagoville in Texas since he began serving his 151-month sentence in June 2022. Earlier this month, he was transferred to the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, but no reason for the move was given.
Since his incarceration began, Josh has made four appeals of his conviction. Three were denied and the fourth is still pending. Josh is expected to be released in February 2033.
