Taylor Swift‘s rumored wedding planner, Mark Seed, has been ordered to pay more than $658,000 to a California company after failing to respond to a lawsuit filed against him.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Buttermilk Creative Inc. sued Seed in Los Angeles County Superior Court in June 2025. The company alleged that he owed $476,924 on what it described as an “open book account.” However, the complaint doesn’t list any specifics about the issues at hand.
Court records show Seed never filed a response to the complaint. As a result, Buttermilk asked the court to enter a default judgment, a legal ruling that may be granted when a defendant fails to answer a lawsuit.
On May 12, Judge Jerrold Abeles granted the request after finding the company’s application fulfilled the necessary legal requirements.

According to the legal paperwork, the judgment totaled $658,732.15, which consisted of $476,924 in damages, $178,873.54 in interest, $1,200 in attorney fees and $1,734.61 in court costs.
The judge also corrected a minor mathematical error in Buttermilk’s filing. While the company originally requested a judgment totaling $658,732.35, the court determined that the correct amount was $658,732.15.
“He can build something spectacular out of nothing,” a source told the publication of Seed, who reportedly also organized Jennifer Lawrence‘s 2019 wedding to Cooke Maroney in Rhode Island. “He is renowned for never, ever talking about his clients.”
