Jennifer Lopez doesn’t plan to sit at home alone once she becomes an empty nester, a source tells In Touch.
“This is a huge transition time for her,” says the source. “She’s totally single and her kids are going away to college. For the first time in 20 years, she’s completely free and she’s decided to celebrate it.”
Shortly after her divorce from Ben Affleck was finalized in January 2025, the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer, 56, purchased an $18 million mansion in Hidden Hills, California, which she plans to use as a bachelorette pad, the source notes.
“When she did the renovation on her new home, she really focused on making it the dream single girl palace,” reveals the source. “The twins will have their rooms for whenever they want to come home and she has her huge master suite, but the rest of the home is designed with guests in mind.”

According to Realtor.com, J. Lo’s sprawling property spans more than 8,600 square feet and consists of a main residence, a guesthouse, a pool house and a five-stall barn.
The main house has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a host of luxury amenities, including a movie theater room, a gourmet kitchen, a massage space and a poolside cabana and lounge.
“She even gave out keys and passcodes to her close friends so they can come and go as they please,” says the source. “She wants it to be party central because the idea of being alone in an empty house freaks her out.”
