As per the FBI’s official press release dated November 22, 2010, Levy, 24, disappeared on May 1, 2001, while living in Washington, D.C.
Levy’s case triggered one of the most widely followed missing person cases of its time, especially after California congressman Gary Condit admitted to having an affair with the intern. (Condit was never named as a suspect in her murder.)

In a new interview with News Nation on May 1, Robert and Susan Levy dropped an explosive bombshell. They claim that a possible exposure, via Condit, to sensitive information about UFOs could have played a key role in their daughter’s murder.
“She says, ‘Oh, he believes in UFOs like I do’ and that he deals with this stuff,” Susan added. “Could she have known something that she wasn’t supposed to know? And could she have been wiped out because she knew too much?”

Speaking with host Jesse Weber, Robert pointed out that his daughter was in Washington at the same time as a conference led by ufologist Dr. Stephen Greer, where whistleblowers discussed unidentified aerial phenomena.
Despite their suspicions, the Levys acknowledged they have no concrete proof linking their daughter’s death to any specific theory, but claimed they had “been told not to touch this subject.”
The case has long been clouded by controversy. Gang member Ingmar Guandique was convicted of her murder in 2010 and sentenced to 60 years in prison, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.
However, the charges were later dropped in 2016 after key testimony was discredited, as reported by NBC News.
