The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have said goodbye to one of their favorites.
Netflix officially released the third season of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders on June 16. Following suit with the past installments, the docuseries has once again risen to the Top 10 shows on the streaming platform.
The new season saw the return of several stars like Anna Kate, Charly Barby and Reece Weaver, who originally won over fans during the pilot episode as a rookie candidate.
Despite being a fan favorite on the field, the Florida native, 24, has chosen to hang up her pom-poms after her third year on the team.
Throughout the entire season, Reece went back and forth on the idea of retiring. She opened up about wanting to eventually move back to Alabama with her husband, Will Allman, who she married two months before the show premiered in June 2024.
The stardom took a toll on their relationship. The cheerleader recalled, “On our two-month anniversary, our world completely changed.

“Definitely took a 180 and I was not only trying to navigate being a good wife, but I also have a new reality,” she said.
In the midst of Reece’s rise to fame, Allman quit his job and started working with her as new opportunities arose. However, he admitted their relationship began feeling like “more of a business partnership rather than a marriage.”
As the fame “intensified,” the couple were “still trying to figure it out.”
Although she struggled with the idea of leaving her teammates, she ultimately decided to retire during the final episode of Season 3.
While speaking to DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell, Reece revealed she had decided to “move on to a new chapter.”
“I’m really excited about it, but it’s been hard to make that decision,” the cheerleader said. “But I’m emotional because of how grateful I am, truly.”
“My cup is filled to the brim, and if my absence gives another girl an opportunity for her cup to be filled, then I consider that the greatest honor, leaving and moving forward,” she concluded.
