It looks like they’re about to reach a compromise! Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reportedly gearing up to sign a custody settlement, which will keep their six kids from getting involved in a bitter trial. Their goal is to wrap up negotiations before the private custody trial begins.

“The former couple finally realized the ongoing fight is only hurting the children, and although they have not yet signed off on the agreement, it’s expected to be finalized very soon,” sources tell The Blast.

“They are working towards agreement, but nothing has been agreed upon,” insiders also told In Touch. “There is nothing in writing and no deal has been made.”

Even though Angelina, 43, had initially fought to have Brad, 54, get minimal custody, the new agreement reportedly grants the actor a lot more time with his kids. Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, as well as twins Knox and Vivienne have already been subjected to ongoing custody evaluations, but now there’s a chance they won’t have to get involved in any further proceedings.

“Brad spent Wednesday with the kids (minus Maddox), and Angie is agreeable to him spending more time with the kids outside of agreed-upon schedule,” our source added.

Interestingly, the trial had appointed the very same private judge who officiated Brad and Angelina’s wedding ceremony in the past. Back in August 2014, Honorable John Ouderkirk married the couple at their Château Miraval estate. On the plus side, if things do go to plan, then Angelina and Brad can begin to focus on the financial part of their divorce. “Brad and Angelina have found common ground and agree things need to be settled for the sake of the family, and tell us as long as nothing extreme happens, the matter will be settled,” sources tell The Blast.

The Ad Astra actor also previously revealed that he would like to settle the matter out of court. “He reached out hoping to persuade Angie that the hearing will cause lasting psychological damage to their children. There will be no winners, no matter what the judge decides,” an insider dished to Us Weekly. Hopefully this works out for the best!
