Well, this seriously changes things. Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans’ mom Barbara Evans is setting the record straight about what really went down when her daughter called the cops on her and accused her of driving under the influence. Though Jenelle tells a story of saving son Jace, whom Babs has custody of, from a dangerous situation with the help of her fiancé David Eason, from the other side, things don’t seem so clear cut.
“What happened with Jenelle was that last weekend she called me at home, she asked me if she could have Jace, and Jace did not want to go,” Barbara said in a deleted scene from the show. “So Jace told her that, Jace said, ‘Mommy, I don’t want to go to your house.’” It was from there that Jenelle took things to another level.

“So then she shows up at the restaurant,” Barbara continued. “They came in and they saw drinks on the table. I ordered one glass of wine, I have the copy of the receipt. I took one sip out of the wine glass and I did not drink anything more because we just ordered food. She came in and caused such a scene that everybody was looking at us in the restaurant. And then I left.”
It was after Barbara left the restaurant that things took a turn for the worse. “I’m trying to put the kids in the car and David’s in my face videoing me,” she said to the producer. “And I said, ‘Get away from me, stop videoing me!’ [Jenelle said,] ‘Mom, you’re so drunk! I can’t believe you’re driving drunk with these kids! Look, you can’t even walk!’ I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I hadn’t been drinking! It was a setup, it was all a setup.”
It’s from this point in the story that everything seemingly lines up. Jenelle called the cops on her mother whom she claimed could be “passed out and the kids are there.” Barbara requested that the cops remove her daughter from her property, adding that if she comes back without permission, she will be arrested.
Barbara’s conversation quickly turned to Jenelle’s relationship with beau David. The two got together just about two years ago and David popped the question back in February shortly after welcoming baby girl Ensley Jolie. And though the couple seems to be happily planning their wedding, set for Sept. 23 of this year, Babs affirms that this relationship is far from a fairytale.
“I’m done with her and her lousy boyfriends, I’m done,” she said. “If she wants to live with this loser guy David, cause I have no respect for this guy. He’s not this nice guy he portrays himself to be on TV.”

At the end of the day, Barbara seems to be concerned for the well-being of her daughter. “[David] doesn’t work, he just sucks all her money,” she said. “[People say,] ‘Oh, David’s good, he’s doing all this stuff in the house!’ Yeah, he’s using all of Jenelle’s money, man! He’s an A1 a–hole, he’s a big a–hole. He’s a user and he’s gonna use Jenelle until there’s no more.”
