’90 Day Fiance’ Star Asuelu Pulaa’s Mom Lesina and Sister Tammy Stir Up Major Drama

Asuelu’s Mom: Lesina

The TLC star’s mother, Lesina, is from Samoa but had been staying with her daughters in Washington state for the past two years. Lesina was introduced to fans on season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5, where she didn’t make a good impression. Lesina pressured Asuelu to send her money, even though he explained that he did not have any money to spare as he was only working a part-time job at a grocery store at the time. Asuelu explained to his mother that he needs to use all of his income to support his wife, Kalani, and their sons, Oliver and Kennedy.

During a shocking scene in season 5, Lesina told her daughter-in-law that she wanted to take her son back to Samoa so he could “do his duty” and financially support her. “I’m sorry Kalani, I don’t care about the kids,” Lesina said.

Asuelu’s Sisters: Tammy and Rosa

Viewers also get to meet his two half-sisters, Tammy Acosta and Rosa, on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 5. The Samoa natives reside in Washington state. Tammy is married and has children and works a full-time job.

Prior to their trip to visit Tammy, Rosa and Lesina, Asuelu and Kalani stopped by a Samoan store to buy them gifts in one scene from an episode that aired in August 2020. 

“In Samoa’s culture, when you go see your family, [we] not just only come and show up to them, but we bring some gifts, and show your love and support,” the father of two said in his confessional. However, when Asuelu wanted to break the bank to offer them more cash, Kalani wasn’t having it.  She accused him of “buying the affection” of his mother and siblings.

While Tammy would later stir up trouble in Kalani and Asuelu’s marriage, it seems sister Rosa prefers to stay out of the conflict.

Asuelu’s Mom Lesina and Sister Tammy Return on Season 6 of Happily Ever After?

In the Sunday, August 1 episode, Tammy and Lesina visit Asuelu at the home he shares with Kalani, their kids, and Kalani’s parents, Low and Lisa, in Utah for the 2020 holidays. But the subject of money is brought up again, which leads to an all-out brawl between Asuelu’s family and Kalani’s family.
