A day after the 64-year-old former talk show host revealed in a Monday, May 26, Substack post titled “decisions” that she got a facelift, she shared the results in unfiltered before-and-after photos on Instagram.
In the photos, O’Donnell posted side-by-side shots revealing the changes on her face following the procedure.

In O’Donnell’s initial essay, she joked that the procedure “cost more money than I have ever paid for a car.”
O’Donnell wrote that she spent years firmly opposed to cosmetic surgery, once viewing facelifts as a direct conflict with her values.
“I thought it was a betrayal. Of feminism. Of aging. Of our team of women worldwide,” she wrote. However, her perspective shifted after she lost 50 pounds. “There’s a point where acceptance starts to feel like lying,” she wrote.
The A League of Our Own actress revealed that she officially went through with the procedure in January.

“Right before I went under, I grabbed my doctor’s hand and said, ‘I will never say, ‘God, I wish you did more.'” And I meant it,” she recalled.
O’Donnell explained that she never wanted to fall into the mindset of endlessly chasing perfection or constantly finding flaws in her appearance.
“I didn’t want to become that voice — the one that keeps moving the goalpost, never satisfied, the one that turns their own face into a problem one can never quite solve,” she wrote.
“I always knew as an actress that when I got into my 60s, I would be playing the Geraldine Page roles. I was going to look the way a woman my age should look, and I always thought that would be a blessing in my older age. I would get to play the Colleen Dewhurst roles. That has turned out to be true. I’m getting all this acting work now that I’m closing in on 60,” she said at the time.
