Brandi Glanville got raw with fans after sharing a selfie and exposing her disfigured face in December 2024. In the photo, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star flashed a makeup-free look with random patches on his face that had fans concerned, leading them to wonder what happened to her. Now, a husband of the Housewives franchise is lending a helping hand to help get Brandi healthy.

What Happened to Brandi Glanville’s Face?

Brandi gave insight into what is going on with her appearance after sharing the initial selfie via X on December 7, 2024.

“What happened? I wish I knew I’ve been in &out of the hospital this passed [sic] year 1/2 spent almost every dollar I have trying to figure it out,” the reality star wrote via X the following day. “Some Dr.’s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some say it’s stress induced edema. I personally say it’s Bravo.”

Brandi continued her message to Bravo in a follow-up post, writing, “This is 100 times worse than anything that happened in Morocco and my life has been ruined for no reason I’ve spent all of my money on Dr.!My health is ruined. My looks are ruined AND I was rehired because of this behavior for The Morocco girls trip.”

Brandi Glanville Spent $70K to Try to Cure Herself of Face Parasites

Brandi continued to open up about the health scare while speaking to Entertainment Tonight on December 10, 2024.

“Honestly, I have so many doctors and I’ve had so many tests … I did lab work for $10,000,” she told the outlet. “I ran every test under the sun … They’re like, ‘It could be a parasite.’ That’s, you know, new.”

While discussing her symptoms, Brandi said she experienced “swelling” and was “unable to speak.” As she visited doctors to find out what was wrong, some medical professionals wondered if the issue was caused by old face fillers that were dissolving. However, Brandi explained that all of her previous face fillers had already been dissolved.

“I’ve been on meds this whole year. I don’t socialize,” she continued. “I don’t go out and I’m just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what’s wrong with me.”

Brandi added that she spent around “$70,000” in an attempt to fix the issue, explaining that the financial aspect has been “stressful” because she hasn’t been able to work in two years due to her health issues.

Brandi Glanville Had an Infected Tooth Amid Health Scare

The former reality star told The US Sun on December 10, 2024, that her health battles began with stress-induced angioedema. Her face started to swell up as a result, and she revealed that her teeth were affected.

“I lost five teeth out of my head, so my face has been looking really thin,” she explained.

After she lost the teeth, Brandi turned to dentist Dr. Anjali Rajpal to get the problem fixed. “It’s the holidays. She’s giving me the gift of smiling again, and we’re in the process, so I have one new tooth in the back, which I’m so excited about,” Brandi said. “I can eat again, I’m not chewing with the front of my teeth, and I can smile again, but it’s a work in progress, and I’m just actually happy for the first time in about two years.”

While Brandi now seems to have the situation under control, she said that her infected tooth “could have done a lot more damage” if she had not caught it earlier.

“We had to take the bridge off because my teeth were like, there,” she further clarified. “Spacing out and moving, and that’s when we found that there was a broken tooth that had been under there for God knows how long. When we pulled that one, we realized we had to pull two more. So now I’m missing five teeth.”

RHOC’s Terry Dubrow Offers Professional Help

Terry Dubrow, husband of The Real Housewives of Orange Country star Heather Dubrow, offered his plastic surgery expertise to Brandi.

“I saw one of her interviews and I’ve seen the picture of her, the one where she is swollen, the one where she is really deflated with the irregular skin,” the surgeon told TMZ on December 12, 2024. “Here’s the thing, here’s what Brandi really needs to focus on… and it’s not her fault, it’s her doctor’s fault. Brandi needs a diagnosis.”

The Botched star explained that a microorganism is likely the cause of Brandi’s flare up and it needs to be detected.

“She’s like a ticking time bomb. Every minute that that microorganism is allowed to stay in her skin and do potential damage, she could suffer worse for it,” Terry later explained. “It could be more difficult to treat and she could form more scars and more nodules. So, Brandi needs a diagnosis. She probably needs a surgical intervention to get a piece of tissue and figure out what’s going on.”

On December 29, 2024, Brandi revealed that she met with Dr. Dubrow, but he wasn’t a fit for what she was looking for after he gave her a “five year” transformation window.

“Five years is way too long for me to wait,” Brandi said on the episode of the “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered” podcast. “I have s–t to do. I have places to go, people to make out with. I have not had sex since last October. I haven’t kissed [or] made out with anyone. I haven’t socialized, really.”

She later admitted, “I was hiding and isolating in f–king misery, not wanting to share what was going on with anyone and not wanting to see anyone.”

Brandi Glanville Dissolves Face Filler

Before meeting Dr. Dubrow in person, she updated fans that they were in contact and revealed a big update in her health journey.

“I have zero drama with @DrDubrow. I appreciate all the help I can get. We have been in touch and plan to talk thank you for all the love,” Brandi wrote via X on December 13, 2024. “All fillers that were in my face have been dissolved. I have seen all the best doctors at cedar Sinai, & all the doctors they referred me to.”

Brandi Glanville Gives an Update on Medical Issues

Brandi took to X to give fans another update on her medical issues on March 6, 2025.

“I’ve been faking it,” she wrote in a post. “I’m f–king miserable. My best friend’s been in the ICU for 2 weeks & isn’t getting better. My face is worse than ever. It’s literally melted away. When drs at cedars put me on IV antibiotics & fungal medication I was getting better. I looked normal but I couldn’t afford to stay on them. I was forced to see drs outside my insurance because the drs at Kaiser had no clue.”

What Happened to Brandi Glanville and Bravo?

Brandi joined the season 4 cast of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Morocco after she starred in the previous season. However, filming abruptly halted and the season never aired because The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo accused Brandi of sexual harassment while filming, in a January 2023 lawsuit against Bravo.

Caroline accused Brandi of allegedly kissing and inappropriately touching her while filming, leading Peacock, the streaming service for RHUGT, to react to the allegations.

“The safety and security of cast and crew while shooting is extremely important and we take all reports seriously,” the statement read. “In this situation, production immediately launched a comprehensive review and is taking appropriate action.”

In March 2023, Brandi’s lawyer, Duncan Levin, denied the allegations and exclusively told In Touch that Caroline’s claims would negatively affect her income.

“This is devastating and frankly it’s so unwarranted. She is very committed to making sure that the truth comes out,” Levin said of his client.

He later said, “It’s pretty obvious that there are a number of business opportunities and other opportunities that she will never be able to avail herself of because of these completely scurrilous allegations. It’s obvious that she’s gonna spend her life having to answer for this and that is why we’re so eager to have the truth come out.”

The women have yet to battle it out in court. However, in January, Brandi filed a lawsuit against Bravo patriarch Andy Cohen for sexual harassment.

“Ms. Glanville herself has been a victim of sexual harassment at Bravo by none other than Andy Cohen,” Brandi’s legal team told NBCUniversal. “In a video sent by Mr. Cohen to Ms. Glanville in 2022, Mr. Cohen — appearing obviously inebriated — boasted of his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via FaceTime.”

Andy responded to the claims via X shortly after, explaining his side of the story.

“The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. ​That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize,” the TV host wrote.

Brandi Glanville Was Hospitalized Amid Her Health Issues in April 2025

Brandi shared an update with her fans on X on April 22, 2025, revealing that she was hospitalized after her “head and neck would not move for four hours.”

“I could not get out of my bed,” she wrote. “I called 911, had a lovely trip in the ambulance. Now I am at this amazing place after sitting in a wheelchair in the waiting room for four hours.”

Hours later, Brandi shared a selfie of an IV in her arm, along with a screenshot of her bill from the hospital stay.

“I hate this place, but should be another fun ambulance bill,” she joked.

Brandi hinted on April 24, 2025, that she had been discharged from the hospital.

“Hey kitty kats fresh off yesterdays ER VISIT Ive decided to go live on IG with my future daughter in law & fellow Irishman Sarah D on IG live tonight at 6:30 p.m. to talk about our eBay shop,” she posted in another update on the social media platform.
