Wendy Williams Nixes ‘Wife’ Title From Instagram Bio Amid Divorce

A right of passage for the newly single. Wendy Williams reportedly changed her Instagram bio amid her messy divorce from Kevin Hunter. The 55-year-old decided she is done being a “wife” in real life — and on social media.

“Wife. Mom. Talk Show Host,” once read Wendy’s bio on her Instagram page, which boasts 1.4 million followers. As of Thursday, September 5, Wendy has edited out her title as “wife.”  Her bio now states the air date for the Wendy Williams Show, “The new season starts Monday, September 16!” Keeping things professional, we see.

Wendy has not had an easy go of things in recent months, but one thing is clear: she is ready to move on. “I want a divorce like yesterday, I want a divorce two months ago, three months ago. Whenever I found out, four months ago,” Wendy told radio personality Sway Calloway on his show. “I want a divorce and I want to be friends with Kevin. I mean, and not because we have a son but because that was real love. I still love him, just not in that way, you know? You’re either in or you’re out with me. I still have love for him and I wish him the best in his new life with his new family.”

Wendy confirmed to the New York Times that Kevin, 47, had a child with another woman while he was married to the TV personality. “Kevin has a daughter,” she said, adding, “Kevin had a major indiscretion that he will have to deal with for the rest of his life. An indiscretion that I will not deal with. He will always be my family, because we have a 19-year-old son, and we were together for 25 years and married for 21. But there was no vacillating. I’m out. That’s all I can say.”

Despite her tumultuous relationship with Kevin, it looks like Wendy has already found a new man. “I’m not on the market anymore. I’m not in love. I don’t know how I’m doing. I’m not in love but there’s somebody that I’m crazy about,” she said on air. We can’t wait to watch you re-write your bio, girl!
