Teen Mom’s Catelynn Baltierra Reflects on Selling Her Home After Foreclosure Risk: ‘Easy’

Teen Mom star Catelynn Baltierra (née Lowell) opens up about selling her and husband Tyler Baltierra’s home during an exclusive video interview with In Touch.

“That was easy once we got the right realtor,” Catelynn, 32, tells In Touch while promoting season 2B of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. “Shout out to Rebecca Keller.”

After noting that having a good realtor “makes a difference” when trying to sell a home, Catelynn says she’s “excited” to “finally get rid of that place.”

In Touch previously confirmed on January 14 that Catelynn and Tyler, 33, found a buyer for their Croswell, Michigan, home following their foreclosure risk.

The couple’s house – which they purchased in 2017 – was previously at risk of foreclosure after they failed to pay property taxes in 2022, In Touch confirmed in July 2024.

Catelynn and Tyler first put the home on the market for the first time September 2023 for $454,900. The decision came seven months after In Touch reported they purchased a $435,000 home in Lexington, Michigan, to upgrade their square footage for their three youngest daughters.

The price of the home was dropped to $449,900 in December 2023, and the listing was taken off the market in September 2024 due to inactivity. However, Catelynn and Tyler listed the house again in December 2024.

While speaking about their current property, Catelynn tells In Touch that she and her family feel at home in their new house. “We’ve already moved and we’ve been there for almost two, like two years now,” she says. “So we like the new home that we’re in. It works out great for our family. There’s more space.”

Catelynn and Tyler share daughters Nova, Vaeda and Rya, while they also welcomed their eldest daughter, Carly, in 2009. She was put up for adoption at birth, and currently lives with adoptive parents Brandon and Teresa Davis.

In addition to reflecting on her home being sold, Catelynn also speaks to In Touch about what fans can expect to see in the new episodes of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

“I’m definitely excited for people to see me and Ty go to Chattanooga and we get to go to Maci [Bookout’s] hometown,” she teases. “We cover us dropping our new podcast, which drops in February. We’re really excited about that. And so we had Maci on our podcast and so that was … a fun trip. We got to see Tennessee and you know, go on each other’s podcasts. So that was pretty cool.”

While there will be several positive moments featured in the new set of episodes, Catelynn admits fans will also get to see her experience some “lows.”

Costar Leah Messer adds that all of the stars will inevitably have some low moments featured on the new season. “No matter what age you are, life is gonna do what life does,” she says. “You’re gonna have highs, you’re gonna have lows. It’s just how you navigate them. And you guys get to see that. So I think this season you’ll get to see a lot of highs, lows. Great times, maybe lower times.”
