Teddi Mellencamp was spotted with horse trainer Simon Schroeder at her daughter Slate’s equestrian competition one month after their affair was revealed.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, was photographed spending time with Simon at the equestrian competition in Thermal, California, on December 14, according to photos obtained by Page Six. She was seen taking photos of Slate, 12, while Simon was nearby as he watched while sitting on a fence.
In addition to being photographed at the event, Teddi also took to her Instagram Stories on December 15 to share a video of her daughter as she rode her horse. “@slate_mellencamp_eq fought her way around in her biggest class she has ever done,” she wrote alongside one clip that captured Slate riding around the course.
The outing came more than one month after Teddi confirmed her divorce from her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, in November. “After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the former Bravo star wrote via Instagram on November 2. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”
“Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward,” Teddi added.
In Touch later confirmed that Teddi was having an affair with Simon while she was still married to Edwin, 47.
“Teddi is Simon’s biggest client. Teddi and his wife, Karli Postel Schröeder, were good friends for seven [to] eight years,” a source exclusively told In Touch about the affair. “Karli confronted Teddi about the affair when she found inappropriate text messages on Simon’s phone [and] Teddi promised it would not happen again.”
The TV personality eventually broke her silence on the scandal when she issued a statement on November 24. “The only person who can change your life is you. We have two options, pretend to be a victim or stand up and fight for yourself. We all deserve peace and happiness,” Teddi wrote alongside a video that showed her working out, which was posted via Instagram. “I have cried and mourned. I have taken accountability and apologized for things I have done wrong. Now, I have given myself permission to grow and thrive.”

Teddi went on to tell her followers that there are “three sides to every story.” She then asked, “How can I stand up and show up for the people that do matter? This is called being an adult. This is what saying with my full chest means.”
In addition to the text featured on the clip, Teddi also expressed her thoughts in the post’s caption. “Giving myself permission to grow and thrive,” she wrote. Teddi then concluded the caption by telling her fans that she left the comments section open so that they could share their thoughts on the matter with her.
