Pete Davidson Has Reportedly Changed His Number Following Ariana Grande Split: ‘He Decided To Focus On Himself’

New phone, who dis? Despite several reports that Pete Davidson has been struggling since his sudden split from Ariana Grande, it sounds like the SNL star is finally taking the necessary steps to move on.

According to a number of Us Weekly sources, the comedian has changed his number “to distance himself” from his former fiancée. “He decided to focus on himself. He’s had the matching tattoo that he got with her changed,” one source revealed to the publication, while another added, “currently, they are not speaking.”

Sigh. It’s a shame to see Ariana and Pete’s whirlwind romance come to an end like this, but perhaps it’s for the best. Now that Pete and Ari have called it quits, the “God is a Woman” singer can take the time she needs to cope with all of the trauma she’s faced these past few years — including the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. 

“Ever since Mac passed, [Ariana] has been avoiding the grievance process and has been trying to keep herself insanely busy,” an insider told E! News, adding that Pete served as a “big distraction.”

With the 24-year-old out of the picture, Ari is ready to embrace the future. “Ariana wants to keep going, keep recording music, and move on with her life, but understands that she needs to also deal with her emotions,” the insider added.

“[Ariana] will always have a special place in her heart for [Pete], but “now is not the best time,” the insider expressed. Well, we hope that this split will result in only more positive growth for Ariana. Oh, and on the bright side, if Pete really did change his number, she’ll never fall victim to the late night “you up?” text from an ex!
