Lena Dunham and Business Partner Jenni Konner Accuse Woman of Lying About Being Raped

Teamwork makes the dream work! Best friends and business partners Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner spend a lot of time together, but somehow the #girlboss duo never gets tired of one another.

The former Girls colleagues are now new owners of Lenny, a website about "feminism, style, health, politics, friendship, and everything else," according to their homepage. In a recent interview, Jenni said, "I just felt like you needed a platform — we both did, but you especially — that was more than 140 characters. Girls could speak for itself, but at the end of the day, you needed to be Lena Dunham and not Hannah Horvath." She continued, "You have such a strong political voice and a fierce feminist agenda; we didn't have the time to wait for books to come out or your mayoral campaign. We just had to get in there." She's a producer and writer

In 2016, she directed the season finale of the fifth season of Girls entitled, "I Love You Baby," and in 2017, she directed the episode, "Latching," which served as the season and series finale. Both episodes were also co-written by Lena.

Jenni was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Los Angeles with her parents, Lawrence Konner and Ronnie Konner, who were also television writers. Apparently, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

She and Lena recently accused a woman of lying about her rape

On Nov. 17, The Wrap reported that actress Aurora Perrineau had filed sexual assault charges against former Girls writer Murray Miller, saying that he had raped her in 2012 when she was 17 years old. In response, Lena and Jenni sent a statement to The Hollywood Reporter defending Murray. "While our first instinct is to listen to every woman's story," they said, "our insider knowledge of Murray's situation makes us confident that sadly this accusation is one of the three percent of assault cases that are misreported every year." They added, "I believe in a lot of things but the first tenet of my politics is to hold up the people who have held me up, who have filled my world with love."

She has a net worth of 1.6 million

Not too shabby. The 46-year-old is most known for her work on Girls, but she also raked in the big bucks as a producer for 2008's Bad Mother's Handbook and 2006's Help Me Help You.
