Lamar Odom Has Been Texting Khloé Kardashian — “He’s Hopeful to Meet Baby True” (EXCLUSIVE)

Khloé Kardashian is getting support from the most unlikely place following the Tristan Thompson cheating scandal that erupted just days before she welcomed her daughter True Thompson. Sources are revealing exclusively to In Touch that Koko’s ex-husband Lamar Odom has been reaching out to the KUWTK star in hopes of a reconciliation.

“Lamar’s been texting Khloé, checking on her and the baby and making sure she’s good,” the insider says. “He just wants to be a bed of comfort to her and he’s hopeful to meet baby True soon. Like her mother, he knows that True will be absolutely gorgeous and he’d love the honor of holding her in his arms. He’s adores that name too and only wishes he could have lived up to her name when he was with Khloé.”

During their marriage, Lamar has admitted to cheating on Khloé due to his new-found fame. However, he wants the new mom to know he has turned his life around. “Lamar really wants to be part of Khloé and True’s life,” the source adds. “He still loves her and doesn’t want her to have to be a single mother given the state of her relationship with Tristan. He really feels heartbroken for her.”

Along with text messages, Lamar also showered Khloé with baby gifts shortly after the April 12 birth of her daughter. “He sent True a plethora of baby clothes, pacifiers, and the best present of all — an infant Clippers and Lakers jersey with his name and old number on the back,” another source told In Touch exclusively. “Lamar knows Khloé’s going through hell and would like to be there for her just like she was for him when he was knocking on death’s door. “He has the utmost respect, love, and admiration for Khloé and is tremendously happy she’s had her first child. Truth be told — Lamar wishes he were the father.”

Meanwhile, Khloé is in Cleveland — and her future with Tristan remains uncertain. “It’s very sad,” a family source previously explained. “Khloé is strong but sad. She’s been so unlucky in love. Tristan is there for fun but not the full-time commitment, so she will be raising this baby alone.”
