Kim Kardashian ‘Stepping Up’ as J. Lo’s ‘Matchmaker’ After Ben Split: Inside Their Sexy Singles Pact

Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez have been friends for years, and a source says they’re planning to spend more time together in 2025 – taking the single scene by storm!

“Kim has been a huge source of support for J. Lo ever since she split from Ben [Affleck],” an insider tells In Touch exclusively. “She’s really stepped up to the plate and been not only a shoulder to cry on, but also a bona fide cheerleader and a stylist, too.”

In true Kardashian fashion, Kim, 44, has also encouraged J. Lo to embrace a sexier look these past six months, the source says, and it’s “really helped her get her confidence back.”

The Unstoppable actress, 55, has turned up the heat on the red carpet in recent weeks but was noticeably missing from this year’s Golden Globes.

It was later revealed that J. Lo spent the evening visiting Ben, 52, at his residence and even appeared to give her ex’s son, Samuel Affleck, a hug during their friendly reunion. Prior to that, the former flames exchanged gifts at Soho House in Los Angeles over the holidays.

Although the duo has remained cordial post-split, J. Lo and Ben are ready to move on. The exes officially settled their divorce just 20 weeks after filing, marking the end to the power couple’s whirlwind two-year marriage.

As In Touch previously reported, the famous exes eloped in July 2022, sharing their vows in Las Vegas before holding a second ceremony in Georgia for friends and family.

Looking forward, J. Lo will be dropping Affleck as her last name and will revert to Jennifer Lynn Lopez, according to TMZ.

Now that Jennifer is embracing her single status, the source tells In Touch, “Kim wants her to start dating and she’s nominated herself as a matchmaker. J. Lo is all for it and has agreed to let Kim set her up, on the condition that they double date.”

Kim, for her part, was last romantically linked to NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. but reports of their split emerged in May 2024 after In Touch exclusively reported on their romance in September 2023.

“It’s great for Kim because her resolution for 2025 is to play the field more herself, the fact that she can do it with J. Lo as her partner in crime is almost too good to be true,” says the insider. “Kim has always had J. Lo on a huge pedestal, she can hardly believe that they’ve become genuine friends.”

The reality star — who was married to ex Kanye West from 2014 to 2022 — dated Saturday Night Live alum Pete Davidson prior to Odell, 32, although they called it quits in August 2022 following a nine-month relationship.

“Fact is, he didn’t end it because he wasn’t into her anymore,” an insider previously told In Touch, revealing “fame was ultimately a factor in the breakup as well as Kanye’s reaction to the romance.”

“Pete simply could not handle the level of scrutiny and insane stress that came with dating her,” the source spilled. “It was a tough spot to be in, but Kim was very understanding and sweet, they were both sad it had to end.”
