Kim Kardashian Is ‘Counting On’ Ivanka Trump to Set Her Up With a ‘Power Player’ in Washington, D.C.

Kim Kardashian and Ivanka Trump have been pals for a decade, but a source exclusively tells In Touch the reality star has recently been milking the friendship in order to find herself a man.

“She’d love to date a power player on Capitol Hill, and no doubt there are plenty of guys out that way who’d leap at the chance to hook up with Kim, too. She’s counting on Ivanka to make it happen,” the insider says.

The source adds that the Kardashians star, 44, hopes that hanging out with the president’s daughter, 43, will also improve her reputation.

“After years of being put down for her naked photo shoots, Kim’s desperate to be taken seriously,” the insider continues. “She won’t have a hard time attracting attention – Washington D.C. is teeming with single bachelors. She already has heard it’s a popular breeding ground for young and unmarried professionals. It’s just a matter of finding the right guy.”

The source notes that Kim “wants to be sensible” about her approach to dating in D.C. and “is waiting for Ivanka to set her up with someone suitable.”

“Kim’s enormously ambitious and linking herself with Ivanka is a no-brainer, even though she’s caught a lot of flak for doing it,” the insider concludes.

Kim and Ivanka seemingly first crossed paths in May 2014 when they were spotted chatting at the Met Gala. They have gone from acquaintances to friends since then, with the Skims founder calling the businesswoman “the most thoughtful, sweetest soul” in an October 2023 birthday post. Kim repeated the sentiment the following year, telling Ivanka that there was “no one sweeter” than her.

The TV personality is leaning on her friend to play matchmaker following her divorce from ex-husband Kanye West, which was finalized in November 2022. After their split in 2021, Kim dated comedian Pete Davidson for nine months, followed by a mystery man she dubbed “Fred” sometime in 2023. It’s possible her mystery suitor was Odell Beckham Jr., whom she was linked to in September 2023, In Touch confirmed at the time. The pair split in April 2024.

“It was fun while it lasted, but right now they’re at different places in life. There are no hard feelings, it just fizzled,” a source exclusively told In Touch at the time.

The insider added that Kim, who was previously married to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004 and to Kris Humphries for 72 days in 2011, has been “unlucky in love.”

“Dating Kim is a lot because of all the publicity that comes along with being her boyfriend. It scares a lot of guys away. It’s probably what torpedoed her romance with Odell, who’s intensely private,” the source continued.

Kim, who shares kids North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, with Ye, 47, opened up about struggling with feeling “alone” as a single mom in November 2024.

“Sometimes in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,’” she said on Zoe Winkler’s “What the Winkler?” podcast. “And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself.”
