Katie Holmes Is All Smiles and Fall Chic While Talking on the Phone Post-Jamie Foxx Split

She’s feeling chatty! Katie Holmes was all smiles as she took a phone call on a chilly New York day. The 40-year-old starlet was glowing in fall fashion after a turbulent few months following her breakup from Jamie Foxx.

While on a stroll around the city, Katie sported a long black trench coat with high-rise, straight-leg jeans. She added a nude turtle neck to her look and black combat boots. The actress accessorized her look with a black top handle bag and wore her hair wavy and parted in the middle.

Since her split from the actor, 51, back in August, Katie has been making quite a statement on the fashion and dating scenes. “‘New decade. New beginning’ is how Katie sees it,” an insider told In Touch exclusively. “It’s taken Katie no time at all to get over him,” the source explained. “He’s already a distant memory and she’s more than ready to find love again. In fact, she’s currently dating up a storm!”

Although Katie is enjoying being a part of the dating culture, you won’t be able to swipe right on the brunette beauty anytime soon. “She’s definitely not at the stage where she needs to start swiping — eligible men are falling at her feet,” says the source. “She’s already been on at least three successful dates, but she’s keeping her options open.”

The insider also added that she is “not interested” in anyone who lacks a paternal presence. “Her No. 1 priority is meeting someone who can build a strong relationship with Suri,” the source explained, adding that “Katie will only get serious with a guy who she knows will be there for her daughter.”

Now that Katie is hot on the market, she is expressing herself with fashion and loving the attention. She recently made headlines when she stepped out in a cashmere bra top and matching cardigan and was one to watch at New York and Milan Fashion Weeks. “Katie’s genuinely excited about where she’s at in life,” the insider said, “and it’s fun that everyone is talking about how amazing she looks.
