Kaitlynn Carter Responds to Rumors She Was in an Open Relationship With Ex Brody Jenner

Shutting down the rumor mill. Kaitlynn Carter addressed the allegation that she and Brody Jenner had an open marriage on the season finale of The Hills: New Beginnings on Monday, September 9. The 31-year-old had the best response when asked if she allowed Brody, 36, to have sex with other women.

“Not without me being involved, okay? Everything with me and Brody is under my control, let’s put it that way,” the blonde beauty quipped back in her private interview. “There’s not one part of our relationship that I’m ashamed of or that I would do differently. I just think that the world isn’t necessarily ready to hear about all that. Not everybody is so open-minded or accepting of other people. But as long as what we’re doing is working for us, that’s the most important thing.”

Since the taping of the show, the couple announced their split back in August after five years together. Although they wed a year prior in Indonesia, the two failed to make their matrimony legal in the states.

On the September 9 episode, the two shared some insight on why they never made it to the courthouse. “We just haven’t gotten around to going to do it in the whole courthouse or however we’re going to decide to get legally married,” Brody said to his pal Spencer Pratt. “Like I said, whether you put it on a piece of paper or have just a celebration in Indonesia, we’re married and she’s my wife and I love her to death … We’ve just got to get some things sorted out.”

Since her split from Brody, Kaitlynn has been pictured canoodling with Miley Cyrus, who split from Liam Hemsworth in August, as well. Their social media exchanges lead us to believe things are heating up fast. Not only did the two take an elaborate European vacation, but Kaitlynn was right by Miley’s side at her VMAs performance. The two later celebrated Kaitlynn’s birthday and posted a few power couple pics. Kaitlynn herself even commented, “dear god” on a photo of the pop star. Get a room, ladies!

As for Brody, it seems like he is cool with his ex moving on. “Kaitlynn’s relationship with Miley doesn’t bother Brody in the slightest,” a source told In Touch. “It’s good publicity for him. He’s still friends with [both of them].”
