Jon Gosselin ‘Hates’ Not Having Hannah and Collin’s Other Siblings on Thanksgiving Vacation
Finding the silver lining. Jon Gosselin “hates” that he can’t see all of his kids around the holidays, but he’s not going to “let that get in the way of him enjoying quality time with Collin and Hannah,” a source tells In Touch exclusively.
The former Jon and Kate Plus 8 star took his girlfriend Colleen Conrad, and two of his children to St. Croix for a Thanksgiving getaway.
“Jon doesn’t really care what [his ex-wife] Kate Gosselin has to say anymore. He took his girlfriend Colleen, who he refers to as drama-free, a deliberate jab at Kate,” the insider tells In Touch exclusively. “He heard that some of the kids were jealous that they didn’t get to go, but that’s out of his hands, for now anyway.”
The TV personality-turned-DJ, 42, is “not afraid of Kate,” but he doesn’t want to start any drama either. “So while he would love to have all the kids with him, which is something that he’s working on for future get togethers, right now he’s going to enjoy his life with the kids he has,” the source added.
It’s taking time for the other children to warm up to their father again, but they are starting to “realize that’s he’s not the evil dad they thought. Jon is patient, he knows that in time, the other kids will come around,” the insider claimed.
On the bright side, the TLC alum was all smiles in the photo he posted with Hannah and Collin, both 15. “Hello from our family vacay,” he wrote. The squad seemed to be having a great time, checking out the gorgeous sights while out and about. He also posted a PDA snap of himself and Colleen, captioned, “Vacation with my best friend and love.”
During their getaway, they went on a breathtaking hike, visited Flyers Bar & Grill and they also stopped by Rhythms at Rainbow Beach to watch some football.
“Seeing Collin and Hannah have fun is his new happiness,” the source concluded. “All that fighting and negativity with Kate is in his past, and he hopes it stays there. Jon and Colleen have peace and the kids are happy. That’s all that matters.”
