Jill Duggar Hints She Disagrees With Derick Dillard Following His Controversial Tweets

Former Counting On star Jill Duggar has broken her silence following her husband's controversial Twitter rant. The 26-year-old — who tied the knot to Derick Dillard in 2014 — took to Instagram to post a statement, part of which read, "To disagree doesn't = hate, or judgement." The snap comes nearly two weeks after Derick took aim at Nate & Jeremiah by Design stars, Nate Berkus and his husband, Jeremiah Brent. "What a travesty of family," the reality TV exile wrote on a promo for the home improvement show on April 26. "It's sad how blatant the liberal agenda is, such that it both highlights and celebrates a lifestyle so degrading to children on public television as if it should be normal."

Immediately, people fired back with one person writing, "Do their lifestyles affect yours? …. Errrrm no." Another quipped, "Your definition of 'wrong' is your own, and you don't have the right to tell others how to live. Judge not lest ye be judged." A third chimed in, "Someone is SALTY he's not getting any more paychecks."

Derick was fired from the Duggar family's hit show in November after he shared his unwarranted thoughts about fellow TLC star Jazz Jennings. "What an oxymoron… a 'reality' show which follows a non-reality," he wrote back in August. "'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God." He later claimed that he harbored no ill will toward Jazz — even though he referred to her using the wrong pronoun. "I want to be clear. I have nothing against him. I only have [an] issue with the words and definitions being propagated here," he tweeted.

All the drama prompted TLC to give D the axe. "We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months and the network has no plans to feature him in the future," the network's statement read. "We want to reiterate that Derick's personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so."

To this day, however, he's still claiming he left the show voluntarily. Most recently, he took to his favorite platform and wrote, "They won't tell you that I was ever fired because I wasn't," he tweeted. "We wanted to leave and they didn't want us to. That's the truth." Previously, he said, "Unbelievable what's considered newsworthy these days, but then again, this is how I first heard that I was 'fired,'" he wrote, reposting a Fox News tweet from November. "For the record, I was never fired. I just felt it best for my family to cut ties months ago, as we are heading in a different direction." Is anyone else as exhausted as I am?
