Jill Dillard (née Duggar) returned to Instagram and filled her fans in on what she was up to during her 11-day social media break.
“I’m back on social media now. I took a break for my birthday [and] Mother’s Day,” the 19 Kids and Counting alum, 34, said in a video via Instagram on Wednesday, May 21. “It was so great being off of social media. We also took a family RV trip during that time, which was amazing.”
Jill gushed that she and her husband, Derick Dillard, and their kids, Israel David, 10, Samuel Scott, 7, and Frederick “Freddy” Michael, 2, were “looking forward to it for a while,” so it “was so nice to get away and get a little extra family time.”
After her oncamera message, Jill shared pictures from the trip, which included yummy fried food and family time by the pool. Jill and Derick’s little boys enjoyed the scenic views of the mountains during their RV drive, with their faces gazing out the window.
Jill and Derick, 36, posed for photos during their excursion, including a sweet PDA selfie of them kissing.

The former TLC star’s fans welcomed her back to social media, and applauded her for putting the phone down for short spans of time to reconnect with nature and her family.
“How fun!!!! So glad you got to enjoy these special days!!! Thanks for sharing what you do!! We love the Dillards!!” one fan wrote.
A second person commented, “Sounds like an awesome time spent with your amazing boys and hubby. Happy belated birthday & Mother’s day, Jill. You look beautiful, refreshed and happy. Always great seeing you and hearing about the life you are living. Sending love from Tennessee.”
Jill’s absence from the platform didn’t come as a surprise to fans as she gave her followers a heads up before she put her phone on Do Not Disturb mode.
“Hey yall. I’m takin’ a little break from social media for a few days for my b’day & Mother’s Day! Be back soon,” the family matriarch wrote via Instagram on May 10.
Growing up in front of the camera and in the spotlight hasn’t hindered Jill from reality away from the TV and cell phone screens. In fact, she took a social media break in January 2022 to kick off the new year grounded.
“We’ve been soaking up family time amidst the daily grind of work and school + enjoying some sunny, warmer weather the last couple of days before another cold front moves in later this week!” Jill captioned her welcome back post at the time.
Jill asked her fans to join in on the conversation by asking how they started the new year and what they were most looking forward to in 2022. Some people answered, while others simply reacted to her family photos.
“I am incredibly proud of the two of you! You have such a beautiful family. Grateful to have witnessed your journey. Strength, perseverance, leadership,” one person wrote in the comments section of the post. “Maturity, love, compassion! Integrity, intelligence, respect! Just a few of the words, I’d use to describe you Jill! We see you! You’re amazing!”
