Is Derick Dillard trying to confess to something? Jill Duggar‘s husband is always using social media in order to spread his religious views, but he recently shared a bible verse about committing the sin of adultery — and many fans are wondering if it’s a reference to cheating on his wife. It’s unclear what Derick is trying to say, but that’s not stopping fans from speculating. One Twitter user wrote, “Hmm….sounds like SOMEONE [sic] might have a GUILTY CONSCIENCE [sic]….” but other fans think that Derick’s message might actually be meant as a diss for his brother-in-law Josh Duggar. “Is this directed towards Josh?” one fan asked, and another wrote, “If you have issues with your brother-in-law, just say it.”
As In Touch previously reported in 2015, Josh had sexually molested at least five underage girls — four of which were later revealed to be his own sisters — when he was a teenager. Just a few months after his molestation scandal broke, the 29-year-old was outed as a cheater in the Ashley Madison hack. In a statement, he confessed to cheating on his wife Anna Duggar while also revealing that he suffers from a sex and porn addiction, and he admitted himself into a faith-based rehab program.

If Derick’s tweet is directed at Josh, then he wouldn’t be the first Duggar family in-law to disapprove of Josh. Michael Seewald, the father of Jessa’s husband Ben, also slammed Josh in a scathing blog post. “To the person reading this, I want to caution you. Josh was a pretender,” he wrote. “True Christians fail often, but their lives are truly being conformed to the image of Christ. Do not look at Josh and justify your own sins by dismissing the reality of genuine faith and a holy God.”
