Jenna Dewan Shares a Heartfelt Birthday Message for Boyfriend Steve Kazee: ‘I Am the Luckiest Girl’

So sweet! Jenna Dewan took to Instagram on Wednesday, October 30, to share an incredibly heartfelt birthday message for her boyfriend, Steve Kazee. “The world became a better place the day you were born,” the actress, 38, who is expecting her first child with Steve, began.

“Your strength, gentleness, humor and caring beautiful soul touches everyone who knows you,” Jenna gushed. “I am the luckiest girl in the world to love you and be loved by you.” In addition to Jenna’s kind words, she concluded the post with, “You’re going to kill me for the last shot, sorry.”

Rest assured, if you scroll through the adorable images of the pair, the final snapshot is a selfie of Steve sweating and flexing for his ladylove. Even so, Jenna’s followers were absolutely living for the tender moment. “Y’all are so precious,” one user wrote. “OMG! The way he looks at you,” added another. “So incredibly happy for you, Jenna!” a third person wrote, while fourth echoed, “Oh, my heart!”

Of course, because internet trolls love to stir up trouble, a handful of people mentioned Jenna’s ex-husband, Channing Tatum, whom she shares daughter Everly with. “And what about Channing?” someone inquired. As it happens, though, Jenna has been completely transparent about her breakup with Channing, including her initial reaction to the news that he’s dating singer Jessie J. So … better luck next time, haters!

“I was learning things about my ex most people wouldn’t have to face — and over the internet, as it was happening. There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship,” Jenna detailed in her newly released memoir, Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday. “I felt blindsided.”

Thankfully, Jenna was able to move onward and upward. “It was quite a challenge to remain graceful, to say the least. That’s when your real character comes out,” she admitted. “Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult.”

Well, we’re so glad she chose “grace” and ended up with Steve!
