Jenna Dewan Admits Ex Channing Tatum Didn’t Give a Heads-Up About Rebound With Jessie J

Jenna Dewan confessed that she was shocked to first learn about her ex Channing Tatum’s blossoming romance with Jessie J in a candid new memoir hitting shelves on October 22. The World of Dance star admitted that she “felt blindsided” when she heard about his new flame, just months after they separated.

“There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship,” Jenna, 38, wrote in her new book, Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday, Radar Online reports. “I felt blindsided.”

The actress said it was especially tough to hear that Channing, 39, had moved on because she didn’t get a heads-up about it, so she ended up hearing the news when everyone else did.

Jenna explained how she initially wanted to vent her frustrations on Twitter, but she decided against it after thinking about the outcome. “Instead of reacting the way I wanted … I asked myself this: How do I choose grace in this moment?” she wrote.

As fans may recall, the star and her ex announced they were parting ways in April 2018 after almost nine years of marriage. While they were together, Channing and Jenna also welcomed a precious daughter named Everly.

“We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together,” Jenna and Channing shared in their statement at the time. “Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.”

“There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”

Channing’s relationship with singer Jessie J, 31, went public in October 2018 around the time Jenna filed for divorce, and they’re still going strong to this day. Meanwhile, Jenna has also found new love with boyfriend, Steve Kazee, and the couple is currently expecting their first child together.

“Channing’s really happy for Jenna,” a source previously dished to In Touch exclusively. “The good news is that [Channing] likes Steve, so he knows that Jenna and their daughter are in good hands.”

Most recently, it was revealed that Channing and Jenna have filed to become legally single amid their divorce proceedings.
