Perez Hilton ‘Able to Communicate’ as Family Shares New Update

Perez Hilton‘s family has shared another update on his wellbeing after his “suicide attempt.”

Within a public statement shared on the gossip blogger’s website, his family said, “This has been incredibly difficult and emotional for us, made even harder because very little information has been made available to our family.”

As they await further updates, they “remain hopeful.

“We have also been able to confirm that Perez is able to communicate, which has given our family hope,” his family added.

They continued thanking “everyone who has reached out with prayers, kind messages, and support for Perez,” mentioning his fans’ “compassionate humanity during this profoundly heartbreaking time has meant more than words can express.”

After asking for “continued prayers, understanding, and grace as Perez continues to recover,” his family assured they would “share additional updates as [they] receive confirmed information and are able to do so.”

“For now, we’re taking things one step at a time and keeping our focus where it belongs, on Perez and his recovery,” they concluded “Again, thank you, truly, for all your support and compassion. We are so grateful.”

The gossip blogger was hospitalized on Tuesday, August 4 after going live on TikTok and appearing to show self harming efforts. Hours after he received medical attention, his staff and family posted an initial update to his website, confirming Perez was receiving medical care.

On Tuesday evening, clips began to spiral showing the gossip blogger naked and covered in blood in the middle of a “suicide attempt” according to authorities.

Page Six reported multiple units “responded” to the “active police scene” while additional units were told to “stand by.”

About 20 minutes after responding to the scene, units were able to “make entry into the house with police” and give Perez the medical attention he needed.
