Halsey Defends Miley Cyrus’ Bisexuality on Twitter After Liam Hemsworth Breakup

After news broke that Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus called it quits, Halsey publicly supported the pop star after a troll questioned Miley’s sexuality. “#MileyCyrus splitting and allegedly cheating on Liam with a woman confirms that you shouldn’t date bi[sexual] people,” one user wrote on Twitter on Sunday, August 11. “No offense, just true. Bi is greedy and never satisfied.”
However, the 24-year-old singer — who has been candid about her own sexuality — defended the 26-year-old blonde beauty. “Hey, tigerbob,” she wrote. “Doesn’t surprise me that you’re saying this, and your page has you crying about Brie Larson, too! Stop being afraid of women who aren’t afraid to do what pleases them and not other people.”
Of course, many people praised Halsey on Twitter. One person wrote, “Being bi has nothing to do with someone cheating … this is pure ignorance,” while another echoed, “F—king tell ‘em!!!” A third person chimed in, writing, “We stan Halsey, yep.”
On August 10, Miley’s rep confirmed the sad news that the duo were going their separate ways. “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” her rep told People. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
In the past, the “Mother’s Daughter” crooner has been honest about her relationship with The Hunger Games actor, 29. “I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married,” she told Elle magazine in an interview published on July 11. “But my relationship is unique. And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex and modern and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it. I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f—king apron cooking dinner?”

She continued, “I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f—king good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”
Since then, Miley has been spotted kissing and canoodling Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter while Liam looked sad at a coffee shop in Australia with his brother Chris Hemsworth.
