Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter Applewants to follow in her famous mother’s footsteps and get into acting after she graduates from Vanderbilt University in May. However, the Coldplay frontman, 49, seems less than enthusiastic about the 21-year-old’s plan.
“Chris is extremely protective and worries about what the entertainment industry does to people,” a source tells In Touch. “He’d prefer she finish college and take things slowly rather than rushing into a Hollywood career, but his words are falling on deaf ears.”
The chances of Apple listening to her father’s advice? “Less than zero,” the source admits.
“She’s very headstrong and knows what she wants,” says the source. “She has a vision for stardom that’s very all-encompassing: modeling, music, movies. She’s ready to go all the way in.”

Apple has already started to make quite a name for herself.
Paltrow’s mini-me has landed campaigns for Self Portrait and Gap, sat front row at Paris Fashion Week and even appeared in the pages of Vogue and Interview magazine.
“It’s hard to see how she will fail, especially with Gwyneth behind her,” says the source, adding that the Oscar-winning Goop guru, 53, is very excited to help Apple make her dreams come true.
“Not that failure or success is what worries Chris,” notes the source. “It’s everything that comes along with stardom, all the pressure and excess.”
Per Page Six, Apple was skewered on Tik Tok after performing with the band Jade Smith during their October show in Nashville.
“It can take people down a very bad path,” says the source. “He’s seen it up close many times over and can’t help but want to protect his little girl from that risk.”
