Apple Martin, the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, shut down rumors that she was expelled from a school for being a bully.
“Hi! I didn’t wanna respond but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand,” Martin, 21, responded to a comment on Instagram and later shared a screenshot to her Instagram Story on Monday, February 16, per Page Six. “I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone.”
The Vanderbilt University student added, “I completely understand ppl not liking me and that is okay! The internet is a place where ppl can share their opinions. But this rumor is completely untrue, I am not that type of person and anyone who is close to me knows that ❤️.”

Along with the bullying rumors circulating online, Martin was also called out for her supposed “mean girl” behavior in December 2024 after video surfaced of her at Le Bal des Débutantes, when cameras caught Martin crashing a fellow debutant AliénorLoppin de Montmort’s photos and rolling her eyes.
“[Apple’s] genuinely the nicest girl ever! She really doesn’t deserve an ounce of what she’s getting,” de Montmort told People at the time. “She was the nicest girl ever towards not only me but all the debs!”
