New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has a ways to go before he starts looking like Tim Tebow.
The professional QB, 23, told reporters on Thursday, May 21, that he is getting lean and bulking up during the offseason, but said he can’t compare to how much weight the former pro footballer, 38, once put on.
“I’m actually pretty similar from a weight standpoint,” Dart said of his current stats heading into his second season with the Giants. “I’m just leaner.”
When asked about getting “too muscular,” however, Dart explained, “I’m not close to that. I’m not like Tim Tebow! I’m not like that.”
Tebow, who played two seasons with the Denver Broncos, once gained nearly 10 pounds during the offseason before moving to the New York Jets.

According to the NFL, Tebow weighed in at 249 pounds in 2012. He was up from the 240 to 242 he played at during his previous season with the Denver Broncos.
Dart was selected by the Giants in the first round (25th overall) of the 2025 NFL draft. He is going into his second NFL season.
In a joint post shared earlier this month on Instagram by ALO Men, Dart and the brand shared a carousel of photos of him lifting weights and working out in the gym.
Going into the season, Dart said (via Big Blue View), “I mean my competitiveness isn’t going to change at all. I think, just like I said, it just goes into situationally. Just what times it’s worth it and what times it’s not. And just making those mature decisions.”
