Michelle Duggar Hasn’t Been Seen With Her Lesbian Sister Evelyn Ruark in Four Years
Blood is thicker than water, unless it's holy water apparently. Michelle Duggar and her clan outwardly oppose gay marriage, but her sister Evelyn Ruark is a lesbian. Perhaps that's why the siblings haven't been seen publicly or in photos together since a big family reunion in 2014. So, are they still in touch?
There is no proof that Michelle and Evelyn have spent any time together, or even talked, since 2014. According to Radar, Evelyn was living with her partner Sharon Callahan in Cinncinatti. Both Evelyn and Sharon have their anniversary marked as Dec. 28, 1988 on Facebook, so it appears that they're still together in 2018 after 30 years together. Evelyn describes herself as being self-employed, while her partner Sharon is retired.
The last thing that Evelyn posted on social media was in 2015, when she commented on a Facebook article about Bobbi Kristina Brown's death, and whether or not her boyfriend Nick Gordon played a role in it. Evelyn wrote, "how can anyone take sides? We do not personally know any of these people. We only know what the media tells us." The message could certainly relate to her own situation, where not much is known about her relatiosnhip with her famous sister.
In a 2008 episode of 19 Kids and Counting, the only one Evelyn ever appeared on, she said, “I am the third oldest daughter of the Ruark family. I think my mother and father wanted two different families, because Michelle and Carol are the second generation. And the rest of us, the first five, were pretty much grown when they were younger.” Evelyn is now 67 years old, while Michelle is only 51.

In 2014, a pre-disgrace Josh Duggar made it sound like Evelyn's sexual orientation doesn't affect their relationship. “I have an aunt who has chosen to live that life and I love my aunt," he said on a radio show. "I think she is an amazing person." He also said that she "has told me that she is not for all these measures that are being pushed when it comes to marriage and things. She believes that marriage is between one man and one woman.” Though Evelyn did not confirm this, she doesn't appear to be married to Sharon, even after 30 years. Even if Michelle has not visited her sister, Evelyn seems content with her quiet life out of the limelight.
