It’s no surprise that DJ Khaled is into parties, but on Monday, Oct. 23, the famous dad took his extravagant nature to the next level when he went all out for his son Asahd’s first birthday party! The 41-year-old, who welcomed Asahd with his fiancée Nicole Tuck last year, threw a star-studded jungle-themed bash for his favorite little guy and honestly, we’re still not over it! Fans have really gotten to know Asahd. He obviously makes appearances on his dad’s famous Snapchat, and even has his own social media following. Just following the baby’s birth, DJ Khaled talked to People about his new role as a dad.
“There’s nothing hard about it. Every moment I get a chance to be with my son is such an amazing moment,” he said. “This is something that you’re supposed to be grateful for and embrace.” Obviously, the famous DJ couldn’t help but gush over his son. “He’s just like me. He has great energy,” he continued. “He’s got the glow of a young mogul — the glow of a young icon. He’s amazing.”
Besides showing his love for his baby boy, the “I’m the One” hitmaker shared some major appreciation for his baby mama too. “The queen is beautiful. The queen is a blessing because she’s taking care of my son, especially when I’m not working,” he said. “She birthed my son so all praise to the queen. I’m blessed to have a relationship that’s amazing. I gave her an engagement ring, but I don’t have a [wedding] date yet. I’m sure one will come.”
