Conchita Wurst Wins Best Beard Dress Combo at the 2015 Golden Globes
Tonight is the 72nd annual Golden Globes, and we may not know who will take home tonight’s awards or who will be named best dressed — but we already have a winner for best beard/dress combo… And that honor goes to Conchita Wurst.
Conchita is the drag queen counterpart of Austrian singer Tom Neuwirth, who rose to fame after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014.
The 26-year-old wore a stunning green velour dress that opened at the chest to reveal a cream-colored bustier. He (she?) paired the gown with nude pumps — and the most glorious facial hair we have seen in a while.
Conchita tweeted to her fans right before walking the red carpet, posting, "Always try to see behind the curtain."
