Caitlyn Jenner ‘Hoping She Can Count on’ Kim Kardashian to Help Her ‘Get Back Into the Family Fold’

Caitlyn Jenner is desperate to be a part of the Kardashians’ family plans this holiday season, and a source exclusively tells In Touch she’s hopeful her stepdaughter Kim Kardashian will find a way to mediate between her and ex wife Kris Jenner. 

“The fact that Kim went out of her way to put up a special post for her birthday felt very significant, and Caitlyn is really hoping it means she can count on her to help get her back into the family fold,” the source says, referencing the only birthday wish the former Olympian received from any of the Kardashian sisters.

“Happy 75th Birthday. I love you,” the SKIMS founder captioned a single photo of the two of them. The move raised eyebrows among fans, considering Kim usually isn’t the type to be curt in her birthday wishes.

While speculation arose as to the sincerity of Kim’s well-wishing, the source notes that, for Caitlyn, Kim’s the only one to keep close throughout the years-long family feud.

“Caitlyn always talks about how Kimberly, as she calls her, was one of the only family members to really stand by her through her transition,” the source explains. “They were much closer than a lot of people realized and that’s something that Caitlyn says she’ll be forever grateful for.” 

“Unfortunately, she’s still feeling like an outsider with most of the family. She still has Kendall and Kylie [Jenner], they do stay in touch and visit her here and there, but as far as being welcomed to special family events she is still on the outside and she’s desperate to change that.”

Back in May, Khloé Kardashian, Kris, 69, and Kim, 43, opened up about the gold-medal winning decathlete’s decision to appear in the House of Kardashian documentary.

Prompted by Scott Disick, who asked Khloé and Kris, “Have you seen this new bulls–t [Caitlyn]’s doing right now?” Khloé confessed that “no one really has agreed to” appear in the documentary “except for Caitlyn.” 

The reality star, 40, added, “Caitlyn is completely free to do whatever she wants. I do find it strange that she would agree to do a documentary that, I would imagine, isn’t trying to paint us in the most beautiful light. I just know that she wouldn’t like that about her.”

However, Kim struck a nicer tone, admitting, “I got so many text messages saying, like, ‘Doesn’t that hurt your feelings that this is what your stepdad says about you?’ It honestly doesn’t.” 

“I had such a great stepdad who raised me, so, like, none of those things that are said – even if they’re twisted or whatever – are going to make me think differently of the life I’ve had,” she added.

It’s no surprise Caitlyn is hoping Kim will be the one to help her back into the family’s good graces.

“She can’t stand the idea of another holiday season where they all celebrate without her,” the insider continues. “She’s begging Kim to talk to Kris and get her back on the guest list.” 

“It’s not going to happen unless Kris signs off on that and Caitlyn is convinced Kim is the only one that can make it happen.”
