Even though Bethenny Frankel has said that she chose not to join some of her former fellow cast members on E!’s docuseries, The Golden Life, that’s apparently not the case.
Rob Shuter’sNaughty But NiceSubstack reported that Frankel, 55, was never offered a spot on the show to begin with.
“Bethenny loves to play the ‘I dumped them before they dumped me’ game,” a television executive told Naughty But Nice on Thursday, March 5. “The truth? She was never asked.”
Former Real Housewives of New York stars like Dorinda Medley, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan are all expected to return and they allegedly didn’t want the chaos that came with Frankel.
“She’s expensive, loud, and the cast would have revolted if she’d been hired,” a producer said. “Half of them would have quit.”
Plus, there’s the fact that none of Frankel’s shows since leaving the Housewives franchise have really been hits, with a network insider saying, “she hasn’t delivered real ratings in years.”

While Frankel tried to say she was too expensive for the network to hire her, another TV executive claimed “no one was making the offer.”
As In Touch previously reported, Jill Zarin, a former RHONY star, had recently been fired from The Golden Life due to a comment she made about Bad Bunny performing at the Super Bowl.
In a since-deleted post on X, Zarin whined that the halftime show “looked like a political statement, because there were literally no white people in the entire thing.”
Two days later, The Golden Life’s production company, Blink49 Studios, released a statement announcing she had been let go.
“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life,” the statement to Variety read. “We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.”
Zarin reacted to the decision and exclusively told In Touch, “They didn’t even give me a chance. I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”
