Jill Zarin has been fired from the upcoming E! series The Golden Life — in which she was set to film alongside fellow Real Housewives of New York City alumni Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and Sonja Morgan — over her comments on Instagram regarding Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance.
“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’ We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values,” the show’s producers Blink49 Studios said in a statement to Variety on Tuesday, February 10.

The move was in response to an Instagram post in which Zarin ranted that the halftime show “looked like a political statement, because there were literally no white people in the entire thing.” She almost immediately deleted the post, but not before it was captured and shared on X by content creator Gibson Johns.
“They didn’t even give me a chance,” Zarin, 62, tells In Touch exclusively. “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”
Though her comments led to outrage from fellow Housewives stars including Tamra Judge, Chanel Ayan and Margaret Josephs, some fans also rallied to Zarin’s defense, with one X user agreeing that the show was “awful” and another calling it “pathetic.”

“Everyone on the Internet is up in arms because they love Jill and were finally getting her back,” a source tells In Touch. “E! made a snap decision without even taking into account that Jill took it down right away. Jill will be back — this won’t keep her down. People love her. That will never change.”
