Angelina Jolie Reunites With Her Godmother, Jacqueline Bisset, for Dinner in Paris

Quality time! Angelina Jolie took some time out of her busy work trip to Paris to catch up with her godmother, Jacqueline Bisset. The ladies were spotted matching in all-black ensembles as they stepped out for dinner together during a particularly rainy night on Saturday, October 19.

Angelina, 44, is in Paris for a photo shoot for a Guerlain campaign. The brunette beauty has been working with the beauty brand since 2017 when she promoted their fragrance Mon Guerlain. Her collaboration with Guerlain is actually a way for the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil star to honor her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand. Bertrand passed away in 2007 at 56 years old after a long battle with ovarian cancer, and Guerlain was her favorite perfume brand.

“It was a brand my mother loved, so I knew it from my childhood. It spoke to her, as it does to me, of beauty, history, and quality; one of the oldest perfume houses in the world, from France, a country I love and feel connected to,” Angie told Marie Claire back in 2017.

Shen went on to gush about her mom’s style and her connection with the cosmetics brand. “She was a very natural woman who never spoiled herself, never wore makeup, and wore modest jewelry, but she always had a few special items for when she wanted to feel like a lady,” the humanitarian added.

Angelina’s godmother, Jacqueline, was very close friends with her mom. She’s been able to keep a very close bond with Jacqueline, 75, in the years since her mother’s death. Back in July, the Salt actress had returned to Paris for the launch of Gerlain’s Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum Intense and she also made sure to spend time with Jacqueline at the time as well. During the July trip, the ladies enjoyed dinner together at the world-famous restaurant Brasserie Lipp.

“Angelina was with her godmother, who is very important to her,” an insider previously told People about Angelina’s bond with her godmother. “They’re very close, and Jacqueline is someone Angelina has admired for a long time. And of course, there is the connection to her mom.”
