Amy Duggar Celebrates Lemon-Themed Baby Shower With Sweet Nod to Late Grandma Mary
She is still so missed. Amy Duggar King revealed on Instagram that she had a lemon-themed baby shower on August 25, and her message about the occasion included the loveliest nod to her late grandma, Mary Duggar. “Before Gma went to be with Jesus, we were planning a huge lemon themed Baby shower pool party at her house,” she began. “We were going to rent big white tents, and have huge white balloons in the pool and have it all decked out! But after her passing I could barely keep it together, I told myself I couldn’t even think about having a shower without her and I just felt lost.”
Amy, 32, continued, “To be honest I’ve felt ‘lost’ for months … But y’all God is good, and every day I’m just reminded of His faithfulness. I had the sweetest lemon themed brunch celebration today to honor her with my sweetest friends who loved on baby Dax and I! It was low-key, fun, relaxing and exactly what my heart needed.đđ I loved all the laughs, the hugs and the encouragement! Quality over quantity!”

Several fans took to the comments to reassure Amy that her grandmother was there in spirit. “She was there. She just had a better seat â¤ď¸,” one follower wrote. “Praying for your heart. I know sheâs loving on Dax until itâs time for him to enter the world đ.”
Lauren Swanson â the wife of one of Amy’s cousins, Josiah Duggar â revealed on her Instagram Story a few days earlier that many of her Counting On family members threw Amy a “baby sprinkle” not long before this shower. Amy also shared a photo of Lauren, Kendra Caldwell, Anna Duggar and Abbie Grace Burnett, who are all pregnant, from the same event.
Amy recently spoke to In Touch exclusively about her pregnancy at WEtvâs Love After Lockup screening and made it clear just how excited she is to become a parent. She revealed that her famous cousins advised her to “love on” her baby when he finally arrives and to “take time, just like spending time just bonding with Dax when heâs here. And not rush back to work.” We think Grandma Mary would agree.
