Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged, according to multiple reports.

TMZ was first to report the news, with sources saying Tom, 28, proposed to Zendaya, also 28, between Christmas and New Year’s.

A family source also confirmed the engagement to People.

Speculation first grew that the pair decided to take the next step in their relationship after the Euphoria actress was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 5. She paired the massive rock with a custom Louis Vuitton gown and glamorous hairstyle.

Tom did not attend the award ceremony with Zendaya, who was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role as Tashi Duncan in Luca Guadagnino‘s 2024 tennis film Challengers. She did not win the award, but it appears she is winning at life with her engagement news!

Many took notice of her massive diamond ring while she was on the red carpet at the awards show. People reported that Zendaya looked to be wearing “a 5.02ct East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring from the jewelry brand Jessica McCormack” with a white and yellow gold band.

According to Amy Kaufman of The Los Angeles Times, Zendaya subtly addressed engagement rumors while at the Golden Globes.

“As Zendaya exited the ballroom, a recently engaged Times reporter held up her left ring finger and pointed at it,” she said. “The actor responded by flashing her own bling on her left hand, doing a sort of jazz-fingers motion. ‘Are you engaged?’ The Times asked. She kept showing her ring, smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously. Judge for yourselves, dear readers.”

Tom and Zendaya first worked together on Marvel’s 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming. In 2021, the pair were photographed while kissing inside of a car, seemingly confirming relationship speculation after several years.

Zendaya previously opened up about how supportive Tom has been of her career while also leading a successful acting career of his own.

“I think it’s great to have that support and love around you, because you need that,” the Disney Channel alum remarked while chatting with Entertainment Tonight in April 2022. “This isn’t an easy job, so it’s good to have that to free you up from it every now and then.”

Tom confessed that he and Zendaya have liked keeping their relationship rather private over the years.

“Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in June 2023. “We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”

But he did give some insight on one of the hobbies they sometimes do together — play golf.

“I’ve given her a few lessons. She’s very naturally talented, a real athlete, so she picked it up really quickly,” he told the outlet.
