Aaron Hernandez Could See Payday From New England Patriots After Committing Suicide (REPORT)

There has been a lot of talk about pending charges and finances after Aaron Hernandez committed suicide in jail — and a lot of fans have been wondering whether or not he will be paid out by the New England Patriots, where he played pro-football as a tight end.

A new report claims that his famed attorney, Jose Baez, along with the rest of his legal team, are currently looking into this matter.

Jose — who has repped a laundry list of high-profile clients such as Casey Anthony — told TMZ that now that the murder conviction is off the table, the NFL team may have to pay out the $6 million owed to him. Before his death, Aaron was set to appeal his 2013 Odin Lloyd murder case.

When asked if he thought the disgraced athlete ended his life in order for his family to have the money, Jose replied, "I don't give it any shred of credibility at this point."

Suffolk University professor of law Rosanna Cavallaro explained to Fox News why he is "unlikely" to be granted that money.

“[The Patriots] can decide, according to their own lines, whether someone has violated their contract, so it’s not obvious to me that if you vacate the criminal judgment, now the NFL has to go back to treating him like someone whose contract is valid,” she explained. “I just don’t see that. There’s a very good argument from the NFL or the Patriots’ perspective that it’s the conduct that we’re interested in, not that adjudication of the conduct.”

Aaron's family allegedly has not launched a plan of action just yet, as they are still mourning over his sudden passing. He was found dead in his prison cell on April 19, 2017.
