Over the years, Ghost Adventures fans have come to know and love camera operator Aaron Goodwin, who stars in the paranormal investigation series alongside host Zak Bagans. The equipment technician has often shared updates on his personal life on social media, including plenty of sweet moments with wife Victoria Goodwin. As such, many fans were shocked when news broke that Victoria was arrested in March 2025 for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill her husband. Victoria is an athlete, according to her Instagram bio. She appeared on the “Motivational Talks With Ash” podcast hosted by Ashley Platt in December 2024, where she spoke about “her journey from being a collegiate golfer with dreams of going pro to facing the life-altering diagnosis of achalasia, an incurable and degenerative illness.” Victoria is now an advocate for “chronic and rare illnesses, C-PTSD, and mental health,” the podcast episode’s description reads.

When Did Aaron Goodwin and Wife Victoria Goodwin Get Married?

Victoria and Aaron tied the knot in August 2022 at the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland, with the Discovery Channel personality sharing photos from their big day on his Instagram. The couple had a fairy tale wedding complete with a gorgeous Cinderella-like dress and tiara for the bride, king and queen chairs at the reception and even a horse-drawn carriage.

“It finally happened. We got married. After postponing many times due to Covid we got our day. I couldn’t be happier,” Aaron captioned the post on August 9, 2022.

Aaron has since shared many other photos of himself and his wife on the platform, including a snap of the couple smooching in front of a “Kiss Me” sign on New Year’s Day 2025 and a pic from a mini golf outing on Valentine’s Day 2025.

“My valentine always beats me at mini golf,” Aaron captioned the photo.

Interestingly, Victoria also shared several loved-up photos of Aaron in the weeks leading up to her arrest. She shared a selfie from their Valentine’s Day date and wrote, “Mini golf with my Valentine.”

On February 27, 2025, the former golfer shared a photo of her leg snuggled up to Aaron’s with their cat resting in between. “Cuddle puddle with my boys,” she captioned the post.

Victoria Goodwin Arrested for Allegedly Hiring a Hitman to Kill Aaron Goodwin

Victoria was arrested on charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder on March 6, 2025, In Touch confirmed via inmate records in Clark County, Nevada. She was held on $100,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in court on March 11, 2025, according to the records.

Victoria allegedly exchanged messages with a prison inmate in Florida about getting out of her marriage with Aaron, according to an arrest report obtained by TMZ. According to police, she asked, “Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”

Victoria allegedly provided information about Aaron’s Ghost Adventures filming schedule in California and set aside $11,515 to pay the alleged hitman, per the outlet. The inmate Victoria was communicating with allegedly reached out to the alleged hitman about the plot. “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room … I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?” a message from the inmate to the alleged contract killer read, according to the report.

Police also discovered a message about a $2,500 upfront payment.

The messages were reportedly exchanged in October 2024, but Aaron is still alive and well today. The alleged plot was discovered when corrections officers found the prison inmate’s contraband phone.

Police said that Victoria denied wanting to have Aaron killed but admitted that she was daydreaming about being without her husband, according to the report. She also claimed that she did not remember sending the messages to the prison inmate. When asked about the messages about sending money, Victoria claimed that she thought the money was for cell phones. She also admitted that she and Aaron were experiencing marital issues.

Aaron told TMZ that he was “blindsided” and “devastated” by his wife’s arrest because he “thought he was in a happy marriage.”

Fellow Ghost Adventures cast members Zak, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley were also completely taken aback by the news.

“The rest of the cast was shocked by the news. No one knew anything was wrong in their relationship,” an insider told Us Weekly on March 14, 2025. “Everyone who works on the show can’t believe this is happening. They are all currently in a state of shock.”

Aaron Goodwin Filed for Divorce

Six days after the arrest, Aaron filed for divorce on March 12, 2025, according to Us Weekly. The publication reported that he “seeks to maintain his separate property,” wants to “have their community assets divided equally” and wants “the costs of the community assets reimbursed.” Aaron also requested that alimony not be granted to either him or Victoria.
