Tiffany was the breakout star of the 2006 VH-1 reality show Flavor of Love, as she competed for rapper Flavor Flav‘s affections while clashing with other contestants. He coined her with the nickname “New York” as she was born in the state and had Big Apple attitude. Tiffany was a finalist for the hypeman’s love, but lost out to Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander.

New York was brought back for season 2 of the show after Flav and Hoopz’s romance didn’t work out. Tiffany once again was a finalist but didn’t win. However, she landed her own reality dating show, I Love New York, thanks to her wild popularity among VH-1 viewers.

After not finding Mr. Right in season 1, Tiffany returned for a second season where George “Tailor Made” Weisgerber proposed in the finale, but she turned him down.
