Vinny Guadagnino is poking fun at the show that made him a household name.
The Jersey Shore star recently shared photos from a family vacation in Ocean City, New Jersey, joking that he decided to check out the famous beach destination after hearing about it “on a TV show.”
“I heard of this place called the Jersey Shore on a TV show or something so I wanted to go check it out w/ my niece, nephew, mom and the fam,” Vinny captioned the Instagram post alongside snapshots from the trip.
Despite spending years filming Jersey Shore and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Vinny revealed he’d never actually visited Ocean City before.
“I never been to Ocean City, NJ but it was so nice,” he wrote, thanking Coastal Chateau for hosting his family. He also recommended the property’s “Boardwalk Cottage,” saying it felt like “having your own nice modern/aesthetic shore house for a few days w/out having to have one.”
The getaway appeared to be all about quality family time, with Vinny sharing photos alongside his mom, niece and nephew as they explored the boardwalk and enjoyed the beach.
Of course, no Jersey Shore trip would be complete without indulging in some local seafood. Vinny ended his caption by revealing one unforgettable highlight of the vacation: “And I ate a 4 lb [lobster].”
Fans loved the reality star’s tongue-in-cheek caption, with many appreciating the irony of one of MTV’s most recognizable Jersey Shore personalities finally visiting one of the state’s most beloved beach towns.
